Whats better then plain old macaroni and cheese you ask?
Well once you try these Chipotle Mac n' Cheese Bites you'll know the answer!

I know a lot of you may be thinking that making macaroni and cheese is enough of a task in itself and adding the extra steps of breading and frying seems like a lot of work... well you're right! That's why in my house I use frozen or boxed macaroni and cheese (Shhhh.. don't tell anyone!) It really cuts the job in half and no one will ever know the difference!

(Or you can use the left over Macaroni and Cheese from last nights dinner!)

The trick to getting your macaroni to hold together while breading and frying is to let it cool completely and then place it in the freezer for about 15 minutes after forming it into small balls

Once your mac n' cheese bites are slightly frozen you can bread them just as you would anything else..
Flour - Eggs - Bread Crumbs

The secret to these "Chipotle" Mac n' Cheese bites is this amazing new product "Spicy Hot Chipotle Panko."

The Panko adds the perfect crunch while the chipotle flavor kicks it up a notch!

Once you're Mac n' Cheese Bits are formed and breaded it's time to
fry em' up!

Make sure to keep an eye on these as their cooking - you want to flip them frequently to get them evenly browned all over

You can freeze these and bake individually for a special after school snack or these would be perfect appetizers at any party!

We really hope you give these a try - you won't be disappointed!

  12. When we were first married and on a shoestring budget, Friday night was pizza night -- everything left in the refrigerator went on a pizza crust. This recipe is definitely a better use for cold macaroni and cheese -- it sounds very good! Thanks for sharing on Busy Monday at A Pinch of Joy! Hope to see you again next week!
